30 million passengers, 30 million thanks: Air Caraïbes celebrates 25 years of travel with its customers
Pointe-à-Pitre, June 2, 2026 – For 25 years, Air Caraïbes has been facilitating much more than just travel between mainland France, the French West Indies, French Guiana, and the Caribbean. It carries departures, returns, reunions, vacations, life plans, and many memories.
In this year marking its 25th anniversary, the airline has reached a highly symbolic milestone: 30 million passengers carried since the launch of the Air Caraïbes brand. 30 million trips—that’s also 30 million stories and just as many thank-yous.
It’s only natural that Air Caraïbes has chosen to involve its passengers in this celebration by launching, from June 2 through June 11, 2026, the major contest “30 Million Thanks!”. Available on the airline’s website, this anniversary promotion invites participants to try their luck at winning one of 10 round-trip tickets up for grabs on the transatlantic route network. It’s a simple and festive way to thank those who, for the past 25 years, have helped Air Caraïbes shine through their loyalty.
25 years of roots, loyalty, and connections with the regions and their residents
Air Caraïbes is, first and foremost, a wonderful entrepreneurial adventure. It is the story of struggling regional airlines in the Caribbean that Jean-Paul DUBREUIL decided to take over, reorganize, and transform into a new venture: Air Caraïbes. It is the story of a company that gradually expanded across the Greater Caribbean and far beyond.
Over the past 25 years, Air Caraïbes has established itself as a unique airline in the French aviation landscape. It is a company built on connection, proximity, and commitment—one that understands the markets it serves because it shares their values and expectations.
Today, the airline operates 9 destinations from Paris-Orly, with up to 120 weekly long-haul flights and nearly 190 on its regional network, using a fleet of 13 aircraft—including 7 latest-generation Airbus A350 XWBs. This success is also built on the commitment of more than 1,200 men and women—dedicated employees based across France, the French West Indies, French Guiana, and the Caribbean—who bring this promise of closeness to life every day.
These 30 million passengers carried are more than just an anniversary milestone. They are proof of a long-standing relationship with travelers who, for 25 years, have chosen Air Caraïbes to depart, return, reunite, and stay connected to their home regions.
30 million passengers is also equivalent to 30 times the combined population of Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Martin, and French Guiana carried by Air Caraïbes since its founding.
25 years of care, service, and innovation
For 25 years, Air Caraïbes has grown without compromising what makes it unique: generous and attentive service, a proud Caribbean identity, and a constant commitment to making travel simpler, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.
This commitment has resulted in the ongoing modernization of the fleet, the development of digital services, the enhancement of the in-flight experience, and sustained, regular investments in state-of-the-art aircraft.
Notably, Air Caraïbes was the first French airline to order and then operate the A350 XWB in France, on flights to and from the Caribbean and French Guiana—a symbol of its ability to combine innovation, comfort, and operational performance. It will also be the first airline to operate the A350-900 route between Saint Martin and Juliana starting October 15.
“ “My father certainly never imagined, when he was building this small regional airline in the Caribbean, that it would grow so quickly and cross the Atlantic just a few years later,” says Paul-Henri DUBREUIL, President of the Dubreuil Group and Air Caraïbes. “Few people believed in this somewhat crazy project back then. Twenty-five years later, the Air Caraïbes brand has become a staple of the French aviation landscape. It’s an achievement our family is proud of. And we know that we owe this success to our teams—our dedicated employees who embody our commitment to satisfying our passengers— we also owe it to the travel professionals who have supported our company and, of course, to our customers who believed in us, loved our very personal way of helping them travel, and have remained loyal to us. Today, we continue to set ambitious goals and pursue new projects to strengthen and grow our company.”
