Managing cookies

A cookie is a small text file sent to your computer by a website when you visit it. This text file is used to store data that can be read by the website once it has been sent back by your browser. The data is recovered when you visit the site and allows teams to optimize your browsing.

For example, these cookies can be used to store information that you have already entered (flights already pre-selected/names already entered etc.). Other cookies also report which browser and version you are using to visit This enables our teams to optimize the website to make it faster, lighter and more user-friendly for all users.

In order to provide you with an ever-increasing number of tailored, targeted offers, other cookies may be used to collect analytical data such as browsing or booking behavior.

Cookies are secure. They can only store the information that is made available by the browser, which the user has previously entered in the browser or is included in page requests. They cannot execute code and cannot be used to access your computer. If a website encrypts the information stored in a cookie, only that website will be able to read the information.

There are two different types of cookies with different uses and contents: temporary and persistent.

Temporary cookies contain information that is used within your browser session. These cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Nothing is stored on your computer once you have finished browsing.

For example, cookies must be activated when making a booking to record information from one step to the next.

Persistent cookies are used to store information between visits. This data allows sites to recognize that you are a recurring customer, and adapt accordingly. Persistent cookies have a long-term value that is defined by the site, and their lifetime can range from a few minutes to several years.

All the browsers currently available on the Internet allow you to select your cookie preferences, from the strictest to the most lenient (from allowing all cookies to prohibiting all cookies). You can also choose to delete certain cookies or to prevent certain third-party sites from sending or collecting cookies on your machine.

Each browser has its own restrictions, and you can obtain additional information about each one directly in their options.
